I have been an ordained Baptist minister for about 25 years and in that time I have worked in different areas in East Anglia from Lowestoft, Huntingdon, Cambridge and Norwich. A lot of the work I have been involved with has been on some of our estates in East Anglia. I am passionate about helping those who are overlooked to find their voice and social justice.
I came in to Chaplaincy in 2017 as a band 5 Chaplain at Addenbrookes. I have also worked at Papworth and at present I am the Head of Spiritual Care at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. At NNUH we have developed a business plan to become a Chaplaincy training centre for Norfolk and as part of that plan we have been able to expand our team to 6 Chaplains.
Some of my passions in Chaplaincy are
- Finding space for creativity in Chaplaincy in how we work and promote our service.
- Developing local Chaplaincy training and placement opportunities and working together in regional hubs
- Helping Chaplaincy evolve to a 21st century model
It will be a privilege to represent East Anglia as a place I have lived and worked in and to help and support Colleagues in our area both in providing support and sharing resources.
